While working as a clinical engineering manager in Austin, Texas, Patel realized healthcare was shifting to an outpatient model and many of these centers may not be managing their equipment effectively. He cofounded UptimeHealth to give any outpatient facility, big or small, the resource of their own quality control department. The company provides a software platform that tracks equipment maintenance. UptimeHealth has raised nearly $2 million in seed funding to date.
